The Pyrex Professional Meat Thermometer cannot be trusted. I bought this meat thermometer because my husband is always accusing me of under cooking meat for supper. I'm also really conscious about it because we have three small children, and I don't want them to get sick from my cooking. The first night I used it to test the temperature of some pork I was cooking. After I thought it was done, the thermometer told me it wasn't. So, I cooked it longer. That was no big deal, but the next night when I was cooking hamburgers, I used in on them too. I knew the burgers were very well done by the look of them, but the Pyrex Professional Meat Thermometer told me they were no where near well done. It's obviously not accurate.Ease of CleaningThe ease of cleaning is one good thing it has going for it. It's very simple to clean.DurabilityIt seems durable, and I think it would last a while if it actually worked.DesignThe design is a great concept. You just stick it in, and wait for the temperature. It doesn't matter how simple it is if it doesn't work though.
