This program allows individuals to license and use Esri's powerful mapping and analytical tools and authoritative data currently used by large organizations for a very affordable price. Therefore, we gave it the straightforward name of ArcGIS for Personal Use. With this program, you get advanced-level GIS software as well as access to the world's foremost collection of geospatial information for your own personal projects.
Is this software different from the ArcGIS software for commercial use?
It is the same software but priced for an individual user to be used for personal, noncommercial projects such as professional development.
What version and license level of ArcGIS software will I get?
Under ArcGIS for Desktop, choose Advanced (ArcInfo) Single Use if yours is a standalone workstation, and you have the '.prvc' provisioning file ready to use. Then click Authorize Now. Step 12 Select I have received an authorization file. Then click the Browse button to find the provisioning file that you downloaded. For eligible customers, ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 includes two new applications: ArcGIS Maps for Office 365 (included in the office apps bundle) and ArcGIS QuickCapture (included in the field apps bundle and available as an add-on application). To license these applications, you must generate a ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1 portal license file.
With ArcGIS for Personal Use, you get the latest versions of our software at the advanced license level. By continuing your yearly subscription, you will always have access to the latest and greatest Esri software at a very low price.
A user type is a license type that determines the privileges and access you receive with Esri software. The Creator user type allows you to view, edit, create, and share your content as well as perform the administrative functions for your account.
