Source: Apple After looking at all the specs and details, I personally would still choose the MacBook Air, but that's because I use more robust programs on the MacOS platform and I like the lower price point of the MacBook Air with the included keyboard and trackpad.
Do not use the above instructions to close garageband -- they do not work. The reason is because garageband displays horizontally on the iphone x. So unlike other apps where you hold your phone vertically and swipe up, with garageband you need to hold the phone horizontally and swipe up. Very confusing for new iphone x users and it took me a while to figure out. Restarting the phone also works but this is quicker. Apple really should fix this to work like all of the other apps. Personally, I deleted garageband once I figured out how to close the darn thing.
Just click on the “Get” button to download it, and then wait for it to download. 2) Open up Garageband and Select a New Software Instrument Track. Now that you’ve officially downloaded the new plug-in for Garageband, you just have to open up Garageband and you should be able to find it with some searching. The option to turn note names on or off is a little hidden. You’ll need to go to your overall iPad Settings and scroll down until you can see the GarageBand app in the list on the left. Another way is to get the backing track into iTunes on the Mac (playing it will cause it to be imported) and then synchronise the iPad making sure that the track will get copied (e.g. Put it into a playlist and synchronise the playlist), and then look under the Music tab on.

In a press release today, Apple announced that it’s expanding GarageBand for iPhone and iPad with new “Sound Packs” from some of the world’s top artists and producers. With these new Sound Packs, GarageBand users can learn to remix and create songs with help from artists such as Dua Lipa and Lady Gaga.
The expansion to GarageBand includes new Remix Sessions, Producer Packs, and Sound Packs from top artists and producers. GarageBand users can use these Sound Packs, instruments, beats, and loops to build their own tracks, remix songs, and more.

Apple says that the new Remix Sessions and Producer Packs are available today as a free download from the Sound Library in GarageBand 2.3.11, the latest version of the app, for iOS and iPadOS. You can download the latest version of GarageBand on the App Store for free.
